Danger Can Happen

Yes indeed, it can and has happened and where was Silver Potato or Alex Kid for that matter. So I dragged my ass out of bed cursing as usual that I was late as usual and rolled on over to Old St tube only to find that it was closed, rubbish. Hiked over to Moorgate to go the long way to work only to find that that station was closed due to 'power surge'. Cue numerous phone calls to people to laugh at the irony of a city that is inviting the olympics yet cannot even get people to work on time. Hung out at Liverpool St station trying to get a bus which was when I found out that there'd been an explosion. Weird but I just assumed that it was some technical fault and so thought nothing of it. Waited back over by Moorgate for ages but no bus came so I rolled home again. Thats when I found out properly what had happened - jeesus fuck. So me and mine are fine although a girl I know was on the bus and is in hospital which is fucked - don't really know what to think about the whole thing apart from how the people who do this are just fucking cowards who are barking up the wrong tree - fuck you may aswell just hang out like that sniper a few years ago taking pot shots at people. Anyway fuck you you fucking terror twats.



So anyway I'm not that copus today after yesterday's weirdness and then last nights excessive tipple count. Anyway here's some treats. First up I went to Antenna at the NFT the other night which was wicked. One of the best video's was by Nagi Noda for Yuki. You need to check that - here's something that she's involved in genius

Music treats this post - you neeeeeeeed the new Certified Bananas mix however the March and April mixes fucking rule balls over the new one. That chopped and screwed Modest Mouse gets me every time and the dip set coming over the top of Red Hot Chilli Peppers - wicked. New Lemon Red is fucking dope - choppy screwey Snooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop ha ha. Catchdubs has got a wicked Saul Williams mixtape. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shit - I'll try and upload the Dangermouse and Jemini mix CD that was around a while ago. As usual I'm soooo slow but this is fucking wicked - Tom's diner accapella over In Da Club - HOIST

Oh my Angel. Last night ruled balls. Patti Smith AKA your coolest mates mum. Dresden Dolls fucking rocked, that woman has some serious leg movement styles. Anthony less Johnsons was fucking amazing. Martha Wainwright was soooooo good, I fucking love her. She played a set after the main show with just a guitar and played Factory and Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole and a few others.

Summer in the City

So its been some long slow days in Customer Service of late. The AC makes loads of noise and almost drowns out the stereo so we end up sitting sweating without it on. Ah well. So I've been scouring the interweb for mixes and have come up with 3 new fave mix types. In order of amazingness

1 - DJ Rupture - DJ Rupture - Low Income Tomorrow Mix - RES magazine featured him as one of their 10 to watch and they weren't wrong - this mix is fucking insane - theres some more mixes on his website.

2 - Cerified Bananas - Certified Bananas Monthly Mixes - fucking wicked mix of hip hop and other bits and pieces - stand out tune is a chopped and screwed version of Modest Mouse - Float on. Hoisted.

3 - Low Bee - Low Bee Monthly Mixes - Diplo's partner in crime, the mixes are wicked. Similair in style to CB but still wicked.


So what else? Have actually been playing on the Ninja Tune forum loads recently and got some wicked mixes from there which I'll post soon. Someone posted these Japanese Smoking Manners - don't know if they're real or not but they cool as fuck.

So customer service has been pretty boring this week, hardly any mad people e-mailing me and hardly any good spam. This is about as good as it had been this week

Hi, I am looking for a song by *** that is an acoustic version and I don't know the song title (it came from a burnt CD that a friend of mine has and now the CD is not playing correctly.) I have searched the *** website and the sound clips, and I own purchased CDs, that I've also checked, that don't include this song. I was wondering if there are unreleased songs that *** has that are available on the internet because this song is one of my absolute favorites. I play the cello, and I believe that the song starts out on the cello, on a high "d" on the "a" string (in bass clef):

The length of the song is 4 minutes and 50 seconds, or thereabouts.

See - thats not even bonkers although it is somehow worse than humming that broken beat tune to the dude in the record shop. Don't know whether I've been overdosing on MF recently or perhaps I'm perplexed at why every tune he says that it was written in Sanksrit or with a finger in wet cement but I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be.
